The Application

Six tabs, plus the dashboard system and the car profiles that run underneath everything.

Tuning

• Loads an XDF definition and your BIN
• Tables, constants, functions, flags and patches open as floating windows on a workspace canvas, with cell editing, fill and scale operations, compare against original, and undo and redo
• 3D surface view with edits syncing straight back to the table
• The J3 programmer toolbar (connect, read, write, verify) lives on this tab

Log Analysis

• Loads native Log2Tune logs, logs recorded with TechEdge WinLog, or complete .l2t session files
• Processing runs the Auto Tuning engine and colours the VE table by the delta applied to each cell
• Playback replays the drive through the gauges, charts and table crosshair, with variable speed and scrubbing
• Also the home of manual tuning: correct cells yourself straight from playback

Live Tune

• Corrects the table as you drive: the wideband streams live and every sample runs through the same Auto Tuning engine that Log Analysis uses offline
• Corrections land on the VE table in real time and are written to the BIN when the session stops
• Every session records itself, so a drive produces a .l2t you can replay and reprocess offline later
• Live wideband sensor health window

Database

• The learning database dashboard: coverage, correction effectiveness, per-zone status and heat maps
• Detailed per-cell report, with export and clear

Settings

• Engine and injector specification with tuning presets
• AFR targets and zone thresholds, correction and stability parameters
• Gauge ranges and table display options
• Everything lives in the active car profile

Dev

• The XDF definition editor: create, duplicate, edit and save the definitions themselves (tables, constants, functions, flags, patches, axes and embedded data) with live previews against the loaded BIN
• ELM327 bus sniffer and a PID Maker for discovering and defining custom ECU PIDs

Dashboards

• Both the Log Analysis and Live Tune workspaces are configurable docked dashboards
• Gauges, numeric tiles, charts, time plots, parameter lists, XDF tables, the 3D fuel surface and more, arranged and saved per page
• The ECU poll list follows what the dashboard is displaying

Profiles and the setup wizard

• The app opens with a profile chooser; each car profile carries the lot: engine and injector specs, AFR targets and every tuning parameter, sensor calibrations, units, gauge ranges and dashboard layouts, table display preferences, notes, the XDF, BIN and log paths, and its own learning database
• Creating a profile runs the engine setup wizard, eight steps: profile and platform, induction (NA or boost and the boost target), engine specs, injectors, fuel and cam, tune files (XDF and BIN), Auto Tuning targets, and a review
• The review step can generate physics-based starting VE and spark tables (real cam profiles from stock through Stage 4, platform, compression and altitude all feed the model)
• The injector slope calculator is built in: it asks for the injector specs, and generate fills the slope straight into the Tuning tab
• If the Auto Tuning targets were skipped, the app asks for them the first time live tuning or log processing needs them
